From Bicycle to Businessman: A Success Story from Secilo Meyerton

June 9, 2025

In the heart of the Seqelo informal settlement in Meyerton, a determined man has quietly built a thriving business from humble beginnings — and it all started with a few pork heads from the LYNCA Factory Shop.

About a year and a half ago, he first walked through the doors of the LYNCA FACTORY SHOP buying from our retail section with a modest goal in mind. He purchased just four pork heads, the beginning of what would soon become a life-changing journey. At the time, he had no vehicle, no storefront — only a bicycle and a vision.

By July 2024, his small venture had begun to grow. He was now collecting two boxes of pork heads twice a week. Each box contained four units, and every trip was made on his bicycle. Rain or shine, he pedaled through the streets of Meyerton to pick up his stock. With every sale, word spread, and his customer base grew.

But it wasn’t just about selling meat. It was about building trust, offering quality, and serving a growing demand within his community. His commitment paid off. As demand increased, so did his orders — and his ambitions.

Fast forward to today, and the growth is remarkable! He now purchases around eight boxes of pork heads per trip, sometimes collecting as many as three times a week,he is  now moving significant volume — a clear sign of his business success. No longer relying on his bicycle, he now rents a car to handle the larger collections, a true symbol of how far he’s come.

His story is a testament to the power of consistency, vision, and community support. From a single box of pork heads to running a small hawker eatery stall with a growing footprint, this entrepreneur exemplifies the spirit of resilience and grassroots success.

And it all started with LYNCA MEATS
