Another way LYNCA Meats supports local communities is through its Factory Shop, which opened its doors three years ago alongside the factory in Meyerton. Previously, LYNCA MEATS’ products were only accessible to food service providers, wholesalers, distributors, and select retailers. Since the opening of the Factory Shop, things have changed dramatically. Now, LYNCA MEATS’ extensive range of pork products are readily available directly to the local community.
“The FACTORY SHOP has enabled us to bring our high-quality products closer to the people, offering them at competitive prices while supporting local businesses,” says Fairlie. It has not only made high-quality Pork products available at competitive prices, but also created new opportunities for local businesses, explains Fairlie: “Through the LYNCA BULK ROOM, small and micro-enterprises, including restaurants, food stalls, and shisanyamas, can now purchase products in quantities that suit their needs and budgets.
“We had previously been unable to service the informal sector due to unit size restrictions in our logistics operations of selling only by the pallet,” explains Fairlie. “But now, small and micro-enterprises, formal or informal, can access our distribution sector directly and collect their orders in quantities that suit their pockets.”
Making a difference through LYNCA CARE
